He served as constable for a period in his native county. He came to Venango County, PA, in September, 1835, and bought a farm of one hundred acres, wholly uncultivated, which he subsequently cleared, and also one hundred acres adjoining. He was killed accidentally. [HVC 1890, 1146]
He was killed at the Hogue Mill. [HVC 1879, 591]
