General Notes: Husband - Harry Scott Lohr
He was born near Latrobe, Unity township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and was educated in the schools of Ligonier. He grew up on the homestead until his fifteenth year, when he became a clerk in the general store of Murdock & Berkey in Ligonier. After retaining this position for five years Mr. Lohr, in association with S. S. Dice, engaged for twelve years in the tonsorial business, which he eventually abandoned for the lumber trade, also conducting a general contracting business. He employed from fifteen to twenty-five mechanics, carpenters, bricklayers, stone-masons, concrete men and laborers. Some of the most beautiful residences in Ligonier were reared under his supervision.
In politics Mr. Lohr was a Republican, and for three years served as school director. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church of Ligonier, and occupied a seat on its board of trustees.
General Notes: Wife - Anna R. Davis
She inherited her father's talent for music and was a member of the church choir from the time she was twelve years of age.
