General Notes: Husband - Charles P. Craver


He was educated in the public schools of Somerset County, Pennsylvania, and after completing his studies there entered his father's general store and became associated with him in that business. He followed his father to Ligonier township, Westmoreland County, when his daughter, Laura, was twelve years old, and spent a few years on a farm there. He then lived in Ligonier Village, where he followed the trade of carpenter. He also lived for some nineteen years at Swissvale, where he followed the same trade, and later lived retired in Ligonier.
He served during the Civil War, first in the Eleventh Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry Regiment and later in the One Hundred and Thirty-fifth. He later became a member of Ligonier Post, No. 324, Grand Army of the Republic.
He was a Democrat in politics.
