General Notes: Husband - John Steel

He was a man of remarkable attainments, intelligent and well-in-formed. He was by occupation a civil engineer, and fully equipped to take his place in the ranks of the ablest men in the profession. His mind was not limited to one branch of science, but he was a student of philosophy, history and other branches. He was a modest retiring man, who loved the companionship of na-ture and his books, and so chose to live the simple life of a farmer, "far from the mad'ning crowd."

General Notes: Wife - Isabella Waters

The source states she was born in 1845, but 1825 seems more likely.
