General Notes: Husband - Henry W. Stoner
He acquired a practical education in the common schools, and remained on the homestead farm until 1890. He was a Republican in politics, and held the offices of assessor, poor director, collector, school director, supervisor and auditor. In February, 1864, he assisted in the organization of the First National Bank of Mount Pleasant, it being the first national bank organized in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and served as director. He was elected president of the bank in 1879, and held the honor until February, 1905, when he resigned on account of his advanced age.
