General Notes: Husband - Joseph Sherrick
He was reared and spent the greater part of his life on a farm in East Huntingdon township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, whither his parents removed when he was a lad of some twelve years. At the age of seventeen he turned his attention to farming, and subsequently became the owner of two excellent farms. He was a progressive, practical farmer and an industrious, useful citizen. He was reared a Mennonite, his father having been a minister in that church, and he followed the teachings of that sect throughout his lifetime. He took a deep interest in the church and in all matters pertaining to the public good, was a staunch Republican and served as supervisor, and his home was noted for the utmost hospitality.
