General Notes: Husband - John Porch

Soon after his marriage he settled on a farm in Mount Pleasant township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and continued to live there until a few years before his death. When his children had grown up to maturity, he sold his various properties to them, making provision in the meantime for his wife. He then migrated to the west and settled in Ohio, where his death eventually occurred.

General Notes: Wife - Nancy Shafer

She was an orphan, and was reared near Laurel Hill in Somerset County, Pennsylvania.
She survived her husband and lived to the venerable age of eighty years.
