General Notes: Husband - Job William Treasure
He attended the schools of Bell township, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania. For three years he was employed in the coal mines of the Saltsburg Coal and Coke Company, and in 1891 came to Bolivar, Westmoreland County. In his new home Mr. Treasure began his career as table-boy with the Reese-Hammond Fire-Brick Company, speedily advancing to moulding and pressing, and in the course of time becoming a finished brickmaker. During the last three years of the existence of the Reese-Hammond Fire-Brick Company, Mr. Treasure held the position of foreman. After the dissolution of the company he entered the service of the Joseph Soisson Fire-Brick Company of Bolivar in the capacity of foreman in the brick plant, retaining this position for two years. Later, for two years he was superintendent for the General Refractories Company, and he was also a stockholder in the Phoenix Fire-Brick Company. While a faithful adherent of the Republican party, Mr. Treasure was never an office-seeker, the only public position which he was ever induced to accept being that of district register, which he held for several terms. He affiliated with Bolivar Council, No. 570, Junior Order of United American Mechanics, and Bolivar Council, No. 2071 Royal Arcanum. His religious membership was in the Church of Christ of West Bolivar, Fairfield township, in which he served on the board of trustees.
