General Notes: Husband - Jacob Grove
He was a youth of eighteen years when the family settled in Mercer County, Pennsylvania, and so he aided his father in clearing the land, and putting it under the plow. He bought an adjacent tract of 100 acres, and spent his life in its cultivation.
General Notes: Wife - Catherine Van Voorhees
She was killed at Summitt by a train on the Lake Shore & Michigan Southern Railroad.
She met her death in a railroad accident at Polk, Venango County, Pennsylvania, when in her sixty-second year.
