General Notes: Husband - Lawrence Hammond
He moved to Spring Run in April, 1818. There he lived on the same farm continuously until his death. He left to his children property amounting to over $100,000.
He was the father of fifteen children, of whom ten of whom reached maturity - seven were living at the time of his death, as well as sixty-four grandchildren, 118 great-grand-children, and five great-great-grand-children. Among his children were one pair of twins and one set of triplets, all of whom died in infancy. Mrs. Hammond lived to nurse five generations.
