General Notes: Husband - Jacob Swart
He was born near the old home place in Amwell township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, and was educated at the local schools of his day. He was an excellent business man, and during his comparatively short life accumulated much property. At the time of his death he owned six farms aggregating 1,000 acres of land. Politically he was a Whig.
He came to America from Germany. He settled in Washington County, Pennsylvania, near the Greene County line. He had married in Germany, his wife being also a native of that country. [GPHWP, 1695]
