General Notes: Husband - George Swart

---

He was born beside Ruff's creek, Greene County, Pennsylvania, and when four years of age was brought by his father to a farm which later became the property of Andrew Horn, in Amwell township, Washington County. He received a necessarily meager education in the primitive schools of his early day, but he was a diligent reader, and a devoted student of Biblical literature.
