General Notes: Husband - James Allen


He lived near the place sometime called "Willow Spout," on the McAdamized road about eight miles north of Staunton, Augusta County, Virginia.
He was captain of militia in 1756.
He also participated in the battle of Point Pleasant, 1774, during which he saw his brother Hugh killed, and placed a stone to mark his grave.
He died at ninety-four years of age, having been an elder of Augusta Stone Church for sixty-four years.
