General Notes: Husband - Joseph Stockdale
He was of an old Quaker family of Pennsylvania, born near Norristown. His uncle, John Sturyger, was a member of congress in 1827. Joseph Stockdale was by trade a miller, and in early life went to Frederickstown, Ohio, where he built and operated a gristmill during the greater part of his active life. He died and was buried at that place.
