General Notes: Husband - William Brown

He was educated in the Greensburg school and Jefferson college at Cannonsburg. His college attendance was during the palmy days of Jefferson, when it received a large number of students from the leading families of the South. In 1858 he assumed charge, as proprietor, of his father's drug store, and continued successfully in the drug business thereafter. He was a democrat, a member of the Presbyterian church and was superintendent of its Sabbath School for many years. In 1869 he erected a business building on North Main street, near the court-house, in which he did a large wholesale and retail drug business.
