General Notes: Husband - Abner Updegraff


He spent his life as a farmer on the family homestead. His farm comprised two hundred and twenty-five acres, nearly all of which were cleared. Some time before his death he relinquished the active management of his estate. He was a man of influence in the community, and in the Presbyterian church of which he was a member held the office of treasurer. He was a Republican, and served in the capacity of school director.
