General Notes: Husband - [Father] Patterson


He had six sons; they came from Ireland in 1750, and settled in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, on the Delaware, on adjoining farms. Three of the brothers moved to the Cumberland Valley, Pennsylvania, and two to Tuscarora.

Two brothers, John and James, emigrated from Scotland, making a settlement in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
The two brothers were merchants who came from Ireland about 1701, settling at Trappe, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. [PBRLCP, 587]

He emigrated from Ireland to America about the year 1740, and settled in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. With him came six sons, each of whom was given a farm on the banks of the Delaware, this land being part of the original tract purchased by him. Mr. Patterson spent the remainder of his life in Bucks County. [HSJV, 738]

The Patterson family originated in Ireland. The first representative of the family to came to this country with his six sons, and settled in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, in 1845; all were farmers. [CBEJV, 825]
