General Notes: Husband - Delos A. Wright

He was reared and educated in Crawford County, Pennsylvania, and followed farming until 1873, when he began the manufacture of butter and cheese, operating three factories located at Centerville, Glenville Station and Little Cooley. He sold out these interests in 1876, went to Saegertown, Pennsylvania, where he manufactured and dealt in butter and cheese. In 1882 he moved to Union City and established a general produce store, which became one of the most extensive and prosperous in that part of the state. Mr. Wright had as his assistant his son, Robert L., a young man of extensive business experience. Besides the general store at Union City, Mr. Wright had large lumber interests at Parrish, Forest County, where he operated a plant that could manufacture 30,000 feet of lumber daily. He employed about fifty men at this place, and also had a general store at Parrish.
He was a member of the Presbyterian Church at Union City, belonged to the Masonic order, the I. O. O. F. and the Grange.
