General Notes: Husband - James Donald Minniss

He took a deep interest in the cause of education, and gave his family first-class advantages. At the February term of court, 1859, he was admitted to the bar of Crawford County, having held the office of Justice of the Peace for two terms previously. He thereafter divided his time between his profession and his farm. In politics, he was a Republican.

He was reared and educated in Athens township, Crawford County, Pennsylvania. He read law with Hon. A. B. Richmand, and was admitted to the bar in Meadville February 17, 1859. He was very much attached to his profession, and was a careful, prudent, intelligent counsellor and practitioner. His death occurred after a lingering illness.
