General Notes: Husband - Henry B. Johnson


He was educated in the public schools of Butler, Pennsylvania, graduated from Greensburg High School in 1914, and from the College of Pharmacy, University of Pittsburgh, in 1920. After leaving college he worked for Harvey and Carey Drug Company, Inc., for one and one-half years. In 1922 he, with Mr. A. J. Winters, established a drug store in Butler. They later purchased other stores and incorporated them under the name of The Main Drug Stores, Inc., and Mr. Johnson was elected vice president. The Bruin store burned in 1925 and was not rebuilt. The company eventually operated three stores in Butler.
Fraternally Mr. Johnson was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows; B. P. O. Elks No. 170; Butler Lodge No. 272 F. and A. M.; New Castle Consistory, thirty-second degree; he belonged to the Phi Delta Chi; Alumni Association of the University of Pittsburgh, and Butler County Retail Druggist Association. In his religious connection he was a member of the Lutheran Church, and politically was a Republican.
