General Notes: Husband - Samuel R. Walker

He was reared to manhood on the home farm in Parker Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, and received his schooling in the public schools of his home community. At an early age he became identified with the oil industry and beginning in 1886 was a producer with good results. His farms were both under a high state of cultivation and well improved. He was one of the promoters and organizers of the First National Bank of Bruin, in which he was a stockholder and director. Politically, he was an enthusiastic Republican, and served some years as a school director. In religious attachment, Mrs. Walker was a member of the Bruin Presbyterian Church.
