General Notes: Husband - Joseph Infield

New Vernon Twp, Mercer Co, PA
He was educated in the common schools at Jackson Centre, Mercer County, PA. He worked some at stone masonry, but devoted the greater part of his active life to farming. He purchased his first piece of land in 1856, in Jackson Township, where the Hall Shaft was later located. Sixteen years later he sold the farm for coal purposes. March 12, 1873, he settled on another farm, known as the Ira Condit farm, in New Vernon Township.
