He came to Mercer County, PA, October 18, 1829, settling in Jackson Township. He followed farming, and took charge of a hotel, which he named the “Infield House,” in 1862, which was the second house of the kind in Jackson Centre. He had kept hotel on the Satterfield farm, known as the “Old Wash McKee Stand.”
