Norman L. Gotham, 65, of 68 Rockwood Ave., a former employee of Pennland Tankers in Oil City, died in his home late Tuesday evening following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Oil City March 8, 1915, a son of Byron and Nellie Ziegler Gotham, and attended the Oil City schools.
After working for Pennland Tankers, Mr. Gotham moved to California where he was a proprietor of four businesses. He later returned to Oil City.
Mr. Gotham was married to the former Helen Doran who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Norman L. Gotham Jr. of Citrus Heights, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Regis (Priscilla) Weaver of Oil City and Mrs. Constance Saffold of Sacramento, Calif.; and seven gradnchildren.
He also is survived by two brothers, Eugene Gotham of Oil City and Darwin Gotham of Delaware; and one sister, Hazel Gotham of Oil City.
Arrangements are in charge of the Joseph A. Reinsel Funeral Home.
There will be no calling hours. Burial wll be at the convenience of the family.
