General Notes: Husband - William Humphrey

His farm in Worth township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, was part of the homestead which was settled by his father, who emigrated from County Tyrone, Ireland. It was devised to William Humphrey in 1839. Although he learned the trade of a carpenter in early life, his chief occupation was farming.

He was well known all through Butler County and when he built a tavern it became the center of a little settlement which was named Billsburg, as a familiar and affectionate token of his popularity.

He was born on the family farm in Worth Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania. [TCHBC, 1386]
