General Notes: Husband - William P. Curry

He attended the district schools and then took a college course at Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, after which he taught school for two terms in Allegheny County. Before settling down to business, Mr. Curry then spent six months in travel through the West, visiting many interesting places. After he returned he purchased a farm of sixty acres from the Robert Curry heirs and went into the stock business. He did a large amount of improving on this place, rebuilding where necessary and repairing wherever needed. With the exception of three years, Mr. Curry spent his entire life in Hanover Township.
He served continuously for 18 years as secretary of the Hanover Township School Board.
He and his family were members of the First Presbyterian Church at Burgettstown.
