General Notes: Husband - Joseph J. Cottom


He was educated in the public schools and spent his early years at the home farm. He left the farm to enter the employ of James Cochran Sons & Company, at Vanderbilt, Pennsylvania, continuing with them seventeen years, fourteen of which he was in charge of the meat department. He then moved to Uniontown, Pennsylvania, where he became established as proprietor of a meat market.
