General Notes: Husband - Samuel Clyde
He was a native of Ireland, and, being a blacksmith by trade, erected the first shop of that kind in Clearfield, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania.
Later he opened up a farm at the mouth of Wolf run, where he also erected a sawmill, and engaged in lumbering and farming for many years.
At one time he was Associate Judge of Clearfield County.
