General Notes: Husband - James Cochrane
He was educated in the Martland school house at Five Points, and upon leaving school was apprenticed to Levi Portzer, his brother-in-law, to learn the trade of plastering. He then followed this trade in Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church of Greensburg, and in politics was a staunch Democrat.
