General Notes: Husband - John William Agrelius

---

He engaged in the pump business in 1866 and in 1873 built a mill for the manufacture of heading and shingles. This mill was burned in 1876 and rebuilt in the same year. In 1878 he engaged in the mercantile trade, later purchasing a drug store and combining the two in a single store building which was erected in 1886. He was appointed Postmaster in 1884. He continued in active business up to the time when his failing health compelled him to retire. Mr. Agrelius was President of the Board of Trustees of the Methodist Church for over thirty years.
