General Notes: Husband - Charles C. Addleman
He obtained his education at the Oakland school in Pike township, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, and in the Curwensville public schools, and then began to assist his father on the home farm, to which his parents had moved in his infancy. After his father retired he had entire charge. About twenty-five acres of the place was still in valuable timber, and four acres were devoted to gardening, Curwensville offering a ready market for all over production on the farm. Mr. Addleman had no coal bank open, but in all probability a workable vein could have been found as much property in that section was underlaid with valuable deposits.
In politics
He was a Republican and he frequently served in township offices, as a school director for three years, also as road master and as supervisor, and was chosen with others to serve on the election board. Both he and his wife were active members of the Union church. He was identified with the Odd Fellows lodge at Curwensville.
