General Notes: Husband - Russell McMurray

He was born and reared in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. In 1830 he came to Clearfield County, where he purchased land and improved a farm, but later sold out and engaged in merchandising in New Washington, becoming one of the pioneer business men of that place. He continued in the store, even after selling it to his son. Both he and his wife were prominent members of the M. E. Church.
