General Notes: Husband - William Swayze Adams

He was reared on the old homestead in Sandy Creek township, Venango County, Pennsylvania, attended the common schools at intervals until twenty-one years of age, and soon afterward purchased a farm and engaged in agricultural pursuits. In 1877 he moved to a farm of one hundred and seventy-seven acres on Mill creek, about two miles west of Utica, and resided there. Politically he was always a stanch Democrat, and in religion a member of the Presbyterian church, to which faith his wife also adhered. [HVC 1890, 1013]
