General Notes: Husband - William Patterson

---

He emigrated from Ireland and settled in Mercer County, Pennsylvania, and became a successful farmer and merchant. He was a Presbyterian of the genuine Scottish type, and was zealous in promoting the advancement of the church at his new home. He assisted in building the first church of his denomination in Mercer County, and contributed liberally to its support throughout his life. In 1873 he removed to Allegheny City, where he died.
He and his wife had eleven children.

He was twelve years old when he came to America, in 1814.
