General Notes: Husband - Elias Wood

His father was a soldier in the Revolutionary war.

He and his wife were natives of Vermont, who came to Crawford County, Pennsylvania, in June, 1848. He was a millwright by trade, at which he worked in his younger days, but after coming to Crawford County, he confined himself to farming. He attained the patriarchal age of over ninety-one. He and his wife were the parents of thirteen children, five were still living in 1885. During the war of the Rebellion five of their sons joined the Union Army.
