General Notes: Husband - Daniel Tarr


Once he was captured by the Indians, who were numerous and hostile, and held in captivity for three years. He was a large and powerful man and in fact the entire race of Tarrs have been conspicuous for their size. He was a whig and one of the earliest opponents of slavery. He was the father of six children.
