General Notes: Husband - Rev. Alexander McGaughey
He was a native of Belfast, Ireland, was educated in the University of Glasgow, and attained his theological education at Edinburgh, Scotland. On coming to the United States he became the pastor of the Scotch Memorial Presbyterian Church, of Providence, Rhode Island. After two years in the pastorate of this church he was called to a charge in Circleville, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, where he remained for eight years. His last pastorate was of the New Salem Presbyterian Church, Beaver County, and two years after coming to that church failing health compelled him to retire from the ministry, and he made his home on a farm in Ohio township, where his death occurred.
