General Notes: Husband - John Felgar

He was born in what was known as the "old stone house," and settled on the farm later owned by Thomas Gallatin, two miles from Scottdale, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, where he spent the active years of his life, improving the property with good buildings and in various other ways. In politics he was first a Whig and afterward a Republican. He and his wife were members of the Reformed church.
