General Notes: Husband - Eli Abrams


He was born in Turkey Foot township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, but removed to Brownsville, Fayette County, in 1812. He was first employed by Jacob Bowman in his nail factory, but soon left that position and began the mercantile business, which he followed with profit for some years.
He held the office of justice of the peace for twenty years. He was associate judge for eight years.
