General Notes: Husband - William J. Fife

The eldest son born to his parents, he was educated at the public schools, and followed the pursuits of the farm, with the exception of the time passed in the service of his country. He enlisted, in 1861, in Co. H, 62d regiment, and served three years.
He lived for some years on the farm, which was formerly the Caldwell property. He was an elder of the Presbyterian Church for many years.
