Fannett Twp, Franklin Co, PA - a farmer
He was born on the old Joseph Kilgore farm, near Willow Hill, in Fannett township, Franklin County, Pennsylvania. He was reared on a farm, and spent his life in agricultural pursuits.
He owned a fine farm of 150 acres, once known as the old Gamble farm. Upon it he built a very comfortable modern home, and put up other buildings, all substantial and well built. Like his father and brothers, he was always a stanch Democrat, and took an active part in the work of his party, being recognized as leader in his vicinity. His served on the school board of Metal township, having been a director for several years.
