General Notes: Husband - Martin Brungart, Sr.

---

He came to Centre County from the neighborhood of Hanover, York County, Pennsylvania, in 1798. He purchased a Mr. Kreamer's interest in a lease for a tract of land in the eastern part of Brush valley, and located on it permanently. Many of his descendants resided in Brush, Sugar, and Nittany valleys. He and his wife were buried in the old graveyard at Rebersburg, without any monument to show their last resting-place. Many of the old settlers are thus buried.
