General Notes: Husband - Jasper R. Brungart
He received his education in the schools of the township, after which he followed teaching some five years. In 1879 he entered mercantile business in Rebersburg, Pennsylvania, buying out J. Spiglemyer, and continued this business for five years, at the end of which time he commenced farming, which vocation he followed up to 1890, when he built a pleasant home at Rebersburg, where he then lived retired. In December, 1894, he graduated from the Chautauqua University at Syracuse, NY, and took a reading course from that institution.
He and his wife were active members of the Reformed Church. In politics he was a Democrat, and filled various township and school offices.
