General Notes: Husband - Simon Bowman

---

He came to the United States about 1730 and settled on a farm known as Big Springs, six miles from Hagerstown, Maryland. He married and after the birth of his son Jacob removed into Hagerstown in 1764, and built the first stone house in that town.
