General Notes: Husband - David P. Blair
The original family homestead consisted of 100 acres, but he made subsequent purchases of 200 acres. Their home was situated on a belt of land that stretched out 150 feet above the bend of Elk Creek, and afforded one of the finest views in that section.
He followed farming and lumbering and was one of the most active business men in the community. He traveled a great deal at times, going West as far as the Pacific coast, and traveling extensively throughout the South and East.
