General Notes: Husband - Henry A. Cravener

When thirteen years of age he was sent to the Soldiers' Orphan School, at Dayton, Pennsylvania, remaining three years. He then went to Edinboro, Erie County, and attended the State Normal School, remaining until the summer of 1877, with the exception of teaching school three winter terms. With the intention of trying to make his fortune in the "great West," he moved to Chicago September 13, 1877, and after studying law nearly three years was admitted to practice in the State of Illinois in 1880.
