General Notes: Husband - Matthew Bigger

The Bigger family, originally of Scotland, was planted in Ireland by Matthew Bigger, who settled in county Antrim. Bellimony was the town nearest his farm, and in that place the family attended worship.

He was born at a place called Bigger, in Scotland, and on account of religious persecutions fled to Ireland, settled in County Antrim, near Belfast, where his death occurred. He left a widow and six children. His three eldest sons remained in Ireland; the rest, accompanied by the mother, went to America, landing in Baltimore Oct. 16, 1773.
