General Notes: Husband - Job Treasure

He was born in England, and at the age of eight or ten years was brought to the United States. His home was at Mount Savage, Cumberland, Maryland, and on arriving at man's estate he became a brickmaker. Later he removed to Bolivar, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and was one of the first brickmakers in the town. In 1849 he was among those who went to California in quest of gold, and several times sent word to his family of the progress he was making. Ultimately, however, they ceased to hear from him nor did they ever see him again.
