General Notes: Husband - John F. Wilson

He was a captain in the Union Army, and was shot through both arms at Gettysburg. He was wounded in the thigh while captain in command of his company, supporting General Sheridan in an engagement; his limb was amputated, but he died in the hospital at City Point, five hours before President Lincoln was assassinated.
