General Notes: Husband - David Shryock
His ancestry on the paternal side was German. John Shryock, his grandfather, with two brothers, and with other German Palatines, landed in Philadelphia in 1733. He settled in York County, Pennsylvania, where he died in 1778.
He was born in Maryland, but came with his father's family, when five years of age, to Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, where he resided near Salem, later Delmont, until his death. He and two or three of his brothers served in the War of 1812.

Three of her brothers were soldiers in the War of 1812.
